Fishing On Coeur d'Alene River Posted by Picasa

Joel's First Washington Walleye

Joel and I have spent several weekends at different lakes in Washington and Idaho since moving here. Unfortunately, we haven't been very successful at catching fish. Joel lamented the other day that he thinks he's lost his fishing mojo. I told him it was probably time to start fishing with a guy instead of a girl. So, he called his old boss/friend, Dave Frasier, and they met at Potholes and tulled around looking for fish. This was the result.

House Mistakes

We were called and told that the builder had made an error in two of our windows...that they weren't up to code for escape during a fire or emergency. Because of this, the master bedroom window's middle pane had to be changed to two sliding windows. Not a huge change. However, the window in the den had to be enlarged. We were a bit concerned at first until after seeing the new opening for th window. In my opinion, it actually balanced the two sides of the house better. When the window was smaller, I'd always felt like the southeast side of the front looked diminutive in comparison to the northeast side.

As of today, all the sheetrock is in place.

Last night Joel and I were up at the house and noticed that the builder had forgotten to add a gas line to the kitchen for the cooktop. I wish I'd kept a log of all the things Joel has had to point out to them to correct.
